| This is a Spring picture of the historic Grosse Pointe Lighthouse located on Lake Michigan in Evanston, Illinois in Cook County. This lighthouse was designed by Orlando Poe, its tower is an example of a Frustum of a cone, it is attached to a three-story house that is an example of Italianate architecture. This lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic zplaces on September 8, 1976, it was declared an American Historic Landmark on January 20, 1999. This picture was taken on May 9, 2018. |
