This is a winter picture on an overcast day of the iconic Grosse Point Lighthouse on Lake Michigan as seen from the west located in Evanston, Illinois in Cook County. The 113 foot tall Frustum of a cone tower and house was built out of Cream City Brick in 1873. This lighthouse complex was added to the National Register Of Historic Places on September 8, 1976 and declared aNation Historic Landmark on January 20, 1999.
