| This is a picture of the light station at Grosse Point in Evanston, Illinois. The lighthouse was built in 1873 after Evanston citizens petitioned the U.S. Government. The lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1999. This picture was taken on October 28, 2014. |
