Stephen Sondheim arrives on the red carpet for the New York premiere of the HBO bio-documentary, `Six By Sondheim,` on the iconic composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim. The event was held at Manhattan’s Museum of Modern Art on November 18, 2013. In his lengthy and productive career, Sondheim won 8 Tonys for Best Musical Score and another Tony for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, in 2008. He also won 8 Grammys, an Oscar, a Pulitzer, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented by Barack Obama in 2015. Sondheim died at his home, in Roxbury, Connecticut on November 26, 2021, at the age of 91.
