| Pictured is one of seven carved stone shields at the top of the stained glass windows outside of Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. Each shield shows the crown of Christ the King and the palms of victory. In the center is the Chalice and Cross representing the Agony at Gethsemane. This is called the cross of suffering. In the Garden of Gethsemane our Savior prayed, saying, `Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; yet not my will but thine be done.` |
