Pictured is one of seven carved stone shields at the top of the stained glass windows outside of Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. Each shield shows the crown of Christ the King and the palms of victory. In the center is a scroll with the letters `INRI`. The letters stand for the full Latin inscription: Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, which translates as Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. The declaration was ordered by Pontius Pilate and placed on the cross where Jesus was hung. Shown also is a hammer similar to the one used to nail Christ to the cross.
