| This is an early winter picture of the Michigan City East Light and West Light on Lake Michigan located in Michigan City, Indiana in LaPorte County. This 49 foot steel and brick structure in on a concrete pier, it has an octagonal tower on a fog signal building, it was built in 1904, the West light was built in 1911. This lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic zplaces on February 17, 1988 the West light was added on July 24, 2017. This picture was taken on December 5, 2019. |
