| The magnificent Hanbury Hall was built in the William and Mary style for Thomas Vernon in the early 1700s. This Hall is an excellent example of the English-Baroque design but with a more modest and restrained style. The house remained in the hands of the same family until 1953 when it was acquired by the National Trust. |
