Gothic revival home built in 1857, and sold to Blackjack Pershing's parents and where he lived until leaving his home to study at West Point Military Academy as a young man. Home is located in Linn County, Missouri, in the small town of Laclede. House is in the process of being repainted with plastic covering some of the windows. Ornate curved staircase in the home leading to the upstairs bedrooms where Pershing and his siblings slept. Pershing lived here from age 6 to a young adult. On a sunny day with a blue sky and puffy white clouds. House is a National Historic Place.
