A rare sight: The Four Peaks with snow; they are a prominent landmark on the eastern skyline of Phoenix, part of the Mazatzal Mountains. The name Four Peaks is a reference to the four distinct peaks of a north-south ridge forming the mountains' summit. The northernmost peak (left) is named Browns Peak and is the tallest of the four at 7, 657 feet (2, 334 m); the other peaks are unnamed; saguaro cacti in the foreground. This area is part of Tonto National Forest. Please, check out my portfolio for more photos of Four Peaks and Cacti!
