Bucharest, Romania. 26th Oct, 2025: Romanian Patriarch Daniel (C) holds the service of consecration of the interior mosaics icons of the Romanian National Cathedral, an event marking the centennial of the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchate and 140 years of Autocephaly. First proposed in 1881 during the reign of King Carol I, it has been under construction since 2010 and stands today as the largest Orthodox Cathedral in the world, dominating Bucharest with its over 130 meters height.
