The Niwet Thamma Prawat Temple is located on an island in the middle of the Chao Praya River to the south of the Bangpa-in Palace. Built in 1878, the temple is built in Gothic architectural style, with stained glass decorations, curved windows, etc. Much like the Gothic churches. In the temple hall there is an ancient stone Buddha Image made by Khmer artisans from the Lop Buri Period. From the Bangpa-in Palace visitors can reach the temple by cable car which can carry 6-8 people per car and does not charge a fee but accepts donations.
