`Virgin of Kukuarri` 1953. Donated by Jorge Oteiza to the mountaineers. Located next to the cross on the top of Mount Kukuarri de Orio. Fishing village of the Basque Country. Jorge Oteiza was born in Orio Basque Country in 1908 and died in San Sebastian in 2003. Considered one of the pioneers of abstract sculpture in Spain. In 1957 he received the International Sculpture Prize of the Sao Paulo Biennial.
