Tusam or pine is the name for a group of plants which all belong to the Pinus clan. In Indonesia, the mention of tusam or pine is usually referred to as Sumatran tusam (Pinus merkusii Jungh. Et deVries). Jungh Mercusii Pine Tree. et de Vriese is a type of pine that grows native to Indonesia and was first discovered under the name "Tusam" in the Sipirok area, South Tapanuli by a botanist from Germany, Dr. F. R. Junghuhn. Most of the prickles are monoecious, that is, in one plant there are separate male and female organs, although some species are sub-dioecious. source: wikipedia
