Greece, Athens: Young Greek Musicians Playing for Tourists

Four young Greek professional musicians seemed to enjoy playing for tourists in downtown Athens, right in the middle of the high-traffic shopping area of Ermou Street, at the edge of the Plaka district. The musician on the right uses a trichordo bouzouki, popular in Greece. Other instruments used (from left): accordeon, cymbal, chime tree, washboard, and a guitar. In the background: The Church of Panaghia Kapnikarea, a Greek Orthodox church and one of the oldest churches in Athens. It is estimated that the church was built in the 11th century.
