| This is an example, if not original, railroad freight car that is on display at Auschwitz, Camp II. There are no windows for ventilation or to see where you are going. In nearly every case, passengers would disembark the train and go straight to sorting by camp doctors. Immediately from there, those that were not selected went straight to the gas chambers. Entire families were murdered at the same time. A truly dark time in our world history. |
