Prime attractions at the event are the nominees, named a day earlier for the Broadway theaterââ¬â¢s big awards production on June 7, 2015, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. McNally was nominated for writing the book for the musical 'The Visit.' The yellow shoes salute the play, referencing jealousy, envy and ostentation. McNally, a cancer survivor, suffered a chronic lung disease. He died on March24, 2020 from the coronavirus pandemic at the age of 81. |
