| Playwright, librettist, screenwriter, author and previous winner of 4 Tony Awards Terrence McNally appears at the 73rd Annual Tony Awards, at the Radio City Music Halll in New York City on June 9, 2019. He is joined by his husband, Tom Kirdahy, a Tony and Olivier Award winning producer and lawyer. McNally was awarded his 5th statuette, a Special Tony for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre on June 9, 2019. McNally, suffering from lung cancer, died on March 24, 2020 from the Corona Virus at the age of 81. |
