| The Studenica monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery situated 39 km southwest of Kraljevo, in central Serbia. It is one of the largest and richest Serb Orthodox monasteries. The monastery is best known for its unique collection of 13th- and 14th century Byzantine-style fresco paintings.In 1986 UNESCO included Studenica monastery on the list of World Heritage Sites. |
