| The central portal of Strasbourg Cathedral's West facade. Construction of the main building lasted from 1176 to 1439, and from 1647 to 1874 the Cathedral was the world's tallest building. The portal carries a statue of Mary with the Baby Jesus, statues of martyrs and saints, as well as a representation of the Passion of the Christ. |
