The famous statue of two lovers kissing Navy(sailor and nurse) on the seafront in Civitavecchia( near Rome). The statue is made on the basis of a photograph by American photographer Alfred Eisenstadt made in new York on 14 August 1945 in connection with the termination of the Second World war. For some time the sculpture was in the United States and was recently installed on the waterfront of the Italian city Civitavecchia. The statue is exhibited in different cities around the world.
