A morning view of the Grand Canyon after a surprise spring snowfall, as seen from the Bright Angel Trail. The Bright Angle Trail starts at the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim and descends all the way down to the canyon floor and the Phantom Ranch by the Colorado River. Because the interior of the Grand Canyon is hotter than the temperature at the canyon rim, the snowfall melts as it enters the canyon, leaving the only snow located high at the canyon rim. |
