I saw this pretty little bug the other day when passing a field. From the black and yellow stripes, I thought it was a bumblebee. After taking his picture and looking closer, it almost resembles a flying crayfish or lobster. This is actually one of the rarer of the hummingbird moths, it is the snowberry clearwing. This little guy was visiting this bee balm flower in the middle of a field to gather some nectar which also helps to pollinate. This picture was taken in the East Coventry township nature preserve close to Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
