| Pictured is Bizhan slaughters the Boars of Irman on display in the Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas, Texas. Bizhan was the son and grandson of famous Persian heroes. The folio is from the Shahnama or Book of Kings of Shah Tahmasp by Firdawsi. It was created from ink, opaque watercolor, and gold on paper in Tabriz, Iran, circa 1525-1550 of the Safavid period. |
