Pictured is a marble sculpture representing Justice on the back side of the base of the Maine Monument which honors the 260 American sailors of the USS Maine, which sank in Havana, Cuba in 1898. It was dedicated May 30, 1913. The sculptor was Attilio Piccirilli and the architect was Van Buren Magonigle. It is located at the Merchant`s Gate entrance to Central Park at Columbus Circle.
