In the fall and spring of 2021/22 the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix/Tempe hosted an exhibition of glass artist Dale Chihuly. The spots for his sculptures and installations were carefully selected to offer new perceptions of this desert environment. This Fiori - Flower - Boat is placed in the entrance area of the Garden. The boat is surrounded by prickly pear cacti, agaves, and spring flowers, indigenous to the Sonoran Desert. Saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in the background.
