Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman and longtime girlfriend and mother of their 3 children, costume designer Mimi O’Donnell, arrive on the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre in Manhattan for the New York premiere of “Mission Impossible 3,” on May 3, 2006. Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor in “Capote,” and was nominated for a Tony for Leading Role by an Actor in a Play for his role in “Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman,” in 2012. Among the other films in which he appeared are, “Doubt,” “The Hunger Games,” “Boogie Nights,” “Magnolia,” and “Almost Famous.” Hoffman died on Feb. 2, 2014, in his Manhattan apartment at the age of 46 from an apparent drug overdose.
