| Annual twining herbs, glabrous. Stem 4 cm long, smooth. Leaves simple, alternate, pinnate, lobed, stipulate and leaf blade homomorphic. Cymes inflorescences axillary, flowers small, corolla tall, dish like, dark red, shaped like pentagram, flowering August to frost. Capsule, fruit ripening period of 9~11 months. Leaf plumage deeply divided, lobes linear; stipules 2, similar to leaves. Cymes inflorescences axillary, with 2~5 flowers, peduncle usually longer than leaves; sepals oblong, apex obtuse or slightly pointed; corolla ca. 3 cm, red. Capsule ovoid, seeds black, with brown fine hairs. |
