Istanbul,Turkey-May 9th 2014:interior view of Outer narthex of Hagia Sophia build as Christian cathedral of Constantinople for the Byzantine Empire converted to mosque by the Ottomans,in 2014-museum,now mosque.The outer narthex was stripped of its marble revetment, mosaics and plastered in Ottoman times. Since Hagia Sophia became a museum the plaster has been removed leaving the exposed brick.
