The herb of the family Liliaceae. Roots slender, sometimes with small roots near the end; underground stems long, with membranous sheaths on nodes. The stem is very short. Leaf base forming plexus, grass leaf shaped, apex acuminate, with several to ten flowers; flowers often single or 2 clusters in the axil of bracts; bracts striped or lanceolate, slightly yellow, translucent, pedicel 5-8 mm long, joint in the middle; seeds nearly spherical or oval. The flowering period is 6-8 months, and the fruit period is 8-10 months.
