| A mounted soldier at the 12th Century walled entrance to Hassan Tower in Rabat, Morocco. Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque begun in 1195, intended to be the largest minaret in the world. In 1199, Sultan Yacub al-Mansour died and construction on the mosque stopped forever. |
