Pictured is the Capanna Cantina sign at the front of Capanna Farm situated in the Montosoli area to the north of Montalcino. A large pine tree dominates the landscape. The family owned farm started bottling their own wines in the 1960's and after Brunello di Montalcino was granted Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) status in 1966, new vineyards were planted and production increased and markets expanded across the world. In addition to multiple wines, extra virgin olive oil and grappa di Burnello and Moscadelio are produced and can be shipped all over the world. They also offer guided tours and tastings.
