These two wood singled homes were originally a set of three identical homes, were designed by amateur architect Joseph Worcester in 1889, for the original owners, the Marshells. It is interesting to note, Worcester was a minister in the Swedenborgian church. These homes, the first of the style in the whole country, stress a simple harmony with nature and the world, which inspired Willis Polk on the design of his own home near by, just a few years later. As seen 4 December 2024.
