| California`s first pure Arts and Crafts building, built in San Francisco in 1895. One of the churches main tenants is a love for nature, which can be seen from inside the building and out. The first minister, Joseph Worcester, even became friends with John Muir, who helped inspire him. The churches founder was Emanuel Swedenborgian, a theologian and scientist from 18th Century Sweden. |
