Firecracker flower is a climbing shrub belonging to the family Bignonaceae and has three-lobed tendrils. There are three leaves, the leaflets are ovate to ovate-elliptic, 5~7.5 cm long, the apex is acuminate, and the base is wedge-shaped. The panicle is terminal, the calyx is tubular the corolla is orange-red, about 6 cm long, with an enlarged mouth, 5 lobes, recurved, and white hairs on the edge. The capsule is linear, up to 30 cm long, and the seeds have thin membranous wings. It is the best material for green corridors and scaffoldings, and can also be used as fences and walls, or even as coverings for roofs, tree crowns, walls and floors. The flowers of the firecracker flower are clustered in clusters, resembling firecrackers in series, hence the name.
