NO.13 Manjusri bodhisattva cave of Yungang grottoes (471-494 A.D.)rnThis cave has a domed ceiling. the main image, 13 meters high is the cross-ankled maitreya bodhisattva, wearing ajeweled crown, necklace with bells and snake-shaped decorations on the chest. his right arm is supported from underneath by a warrior which had oeen restored in later period, only the feet stepping on lotus flower of the original sculpture retain.rnThe Yungang Grottoes, in Datong city, Shanxi Province, with their 252 caves and 51,000 statues, represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries.
