| The Holy Trinity Ipatiev Monastery is a male monastery in the western part of Kostroma on the bank of the river of the same name not far from its confluence with the Volga. It belongs to the Kostroma diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The monastery played a significant role in the events of the Time of Troubles. The Ipatiev Chronicle found there is named after the monastery. |
