Rittersturz is the place where the German constitution was written. The hotel used for the Rittersturzkonferenz is long gone, but there is a memorial for the Grundgesetz. Koblenz is the only city at Rhine and Mosel. The small city marks the north end of UNESCO world heritage Mittelrheintal. Koblenz has a 2000 years history with the name Confluentes in Roman times and the writing Coblenz for centuries.
