| Inaugurated in 1775 and designed by Machado da Castro the monument to King Jose I of Portugal stands in Placa Comercio in Lisbon and is part of the city's rich and public heritage. With the sun heading towards the horizon the figures seem more imposing standing fourteen metres high. |
