Rock and Roll Legend Jerry Lee Lewis performs at ChicagoFest on August 6, 1979. Known as `The Killer,` the controversial, wild man was a musician as well as a pioneering singing artist known for his physical stage antics, particularly while playing the piano, in rockabilly, boogie-woogie, or a driving rock, intriguing style. Two of his memorable hits are `Whole Lotta Shakin` Goin` On` and `Great Balls of Fire.` Lewis, is an original inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is the holder of 4 Grammys including a Lifetime Achievement Award. Lewis died on October 28, 2022, at his home in DeSoto County, Mississippi, at the age of 87 with his 7th wife by his side.
