| Pictured is the Jemaa el-Fnaa square and market place in Marrakesh`s medina quarter in Morocco. It remains the main square of Marrakesh, used by locals and tourists. On May 15th, 2001, it was proclaimed a UNESCO Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The square is edged on one side by the Marrakesh Souk and the other sides are hotels, gardens, cafe terraces and narrow streets lead into the alleys of the medina quarter. |
