Pictured are two king cobras in the Jemaa el-Fnaa square and market place in Marrakesh`s medina quarter in Morocco. Snake charming is an ancient skill in Morocco and those who practice it can always be found in this square. It remains the main square of Marrakesh, used by locals and tourists. On May 15th, 2001, it was proclaimed a UNESCO Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The square is edged on one side by the Marrakesh Souk and the other sides are hotels, gardens, cafe terraces and narrow streets lead into the alleys of the medina quarter.
