1500-year-old Buddhist statues at Guangyuan One-Thousand Buddha Cliff also known as “Qianfo Cliff” or “Qianfoya”. Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, China. There were actually over 17,000 statues at the One-Thousand Buddha Cliff, but over half of them were destroyed in 1935 when a modern road was being built to connect Sichuan with Shaanxi – its neighboring province to the north.
