This is the Gaia sculpture most people only get to see, and only this front view, when going up the San Francisco Central Freeway to go North to Oakland or South to San Jose. Because of the massive, 40 foot by 12 foot size of twisted rods, and weights nearly 2,000 pounds, appears very close to the edge of the freeway, is in fact several blocks away, perched atop a private building that is in a private parking lot. The sculpture, Marco Cochrane, who has done a couple of similar pieces, all with the same model Deja Solis. For this, Solis was able to pose herself, so she thought of herself when she goes to the beach with her own children. As found 9 August 2025.
