Floralis Generica is a 20-meter tall metal sculpture located on the United Nations Square. The sculpture was donated by it's creator, Argentinian architect Eduardo Catalano, to the City of Buenos Aires. It is is the first moving structure controlled by a hydraulic system and photoelectric cells with the petals opening in the morning. The sculpture was inaugurated on April 13th 2002.
