Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves, is the foremost religious site of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and while a cultural attraction it is still a working religious complex made up of various buildings, caves and fortifications. Here, a golden onion dome is being constructed within the grounds.
