Deserted State Street in Chicago, Illinois at Night

This image, captured with a Mamiya medium format camera, was taken on a cold January night in 1984, on Chicago`s famous State Street, in the heart of the downtown `Loop.` Among the notable objects are the clock at the Marshall Fields department store which has since closed. Also in the image is the Chicago Theatre sign and, on the left, the sculpture of stainless steel and granite, called `Being Born.` It has since been moved to another location.
