This painting by Spanish master Joan Miro, `May 68,` depicted the blood shed in street demonstrations against Franco in the waning period of his regime. The Venue is the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on November 11, 2021. The exhibition, `Surrealism Beyond Borders,` displays how surrealism was not limited to Europe in the 1920s, but rather spanned the globe for many decades. Visitors to the museum showed proof of vaccination against Covid-19 and wore masks.
