Pictured is a closeup view of a crucified Christ with lambs heads sculpture by Nino Longobardi in a room at Castel del Norte. At Castel del Monte, Nino Longobardi pays tribute to Federico II, distributing his sculptures in the pleasant spaces of his most famous residence. Nino Longobardi was born in Naples in 1953 and is an Italian visual artist whose recurring themes represent the body and death. He attended no art schools or acadamies, instead training in the field in the galleries of several masters.
