On the morning of June 19, 1813, British troops attacked, looted and burnt the town of Sodus in Wayne County, New York. A mural by James Zeger commemorates the battle. Connected to this is the wall plague `The Blessing of the Murals` and this church opposite, and the way the shadow of the church spire touches each of the Americans in turn as it transitions across the mural during the Summer Solstice.
